Transparent profiles — hourly rate, packages, test-day pricing, vehicle type, languages, specialisations
5-layer instructor verification — Driving Instructor Authority, Working with Children Check, Public Liability Insurance, Comprehensive Motor Insurance (instruction use), Vehicle Registration
Re-verification before expiry — credentials are tracked and re-checked before they lapse
Online booking — pick your time, pay through the platform
Stripe-powered payments — credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay
Verified reviews — only learners who completed a lesson can review
Fair cancellation policy — free cancellation up to 24 hours; 50% fee within 24 hours (with ACL exceptions)
Instructor independence — every instructor runs their own business; Drivelo takes 15% commission

Instructor calendar sync — 2-way Google Calendar sync so instructors can manage availability from one place
SMS lesson reminders — automated reminders for learners and instructors 24 hours and 1 hour before lessons

Test-day package booking flow — combined warm-up lesson + test car as a single bookable item
Suburb-level landing pages — SEO-friendly pages for every Melbourne suburb Drivelo serves
Instructor messaging — in-app chat between learners and instructors before bookings

BNPL at checkout — Afterpay and Klarna for package purchases
Logbook integration — direct sign-off into the myLearners app where supported
Conversion-specialist badge — verified tag for instructors experienced with overseas licence conversion
Anxious-driver specialist badge — for instructors trained or experienced in patient first-time learners
Keys2Drive accreditation tag — surface instructors registered for the federal Keys2Drive free-lesson program
Refer-a-mate — referral credit for learners who recommend Drivelo
Instructor CPD library — short professional-development modules for our instructor network

Longer term

National expansion — Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide rollout (state-by-state, with state-specific verification stacks)
Heavy vehicle and motorcycle categories — for HR/MR/HC licence training and Q-Ride / motorcycle training
Fleet partnerships — for corporate-funded driver training programs
In-app dashcam review — optional post-lesson review of recorded footage to support instructor feedback
Group lessons and learner cohorts — pilot programs for school groups and community organisations

Suburb rollout — Melbourne

We're rolling out suburb by suburb, starting where we have verified instructors live. We don't list a suburb until we have real coverage there.
